Dearest friends and family,
How are you all doing!?
The computer center was closed all day at our apartment complex because they were having a meeting, and they said it would be over by 4. We went there at
4:20 to give everyone time to leave and they said that it wouldn't be over for another hour!! I suddenly felt so stressed and anxious. The people at the front desk seemed really annoyed that we were asking about when it would be open, but they don't understand how precious e-mail time is on a mission! We raced over to the library and we now have an hour to e-mail before P-Day is over! I am so grateful that we get some e-mail time today!
This week was really great!! We saw so many blessings and miracles! Here are some highlights:
*Word of Wisdom lesson with Robert - We were nervous for this because we know he loves his coffee a lot! We taught him the WOW and committed him to live it, and he was really chill about it. He just said, "Yeah I will definitely do that." He had absolutely no concerns about it and he said he would start living it that day. It was so great!
*Snow day on Tuesday - This was such a fun day! We weren't allowed to drive in the morning because of the snow and ice, so we trekked it everywhere! It felt so great and there is something os magical about walking in snow. I came home exhausted which I loved! I can't even describe how great it was!
*We don't have scabbies but Jan still thinks we are giving it to her! Whoo-hoo! She is also reading the whole Book of Mormon, and is in Alma currently!
*Miracle lesson with a former investigator! We saw a member in this big apartment complex and we went to go see a former investigator when we were done. He was in the middle of dinner, so we said we would come back later. He text us 10 minutes later and asked if we could come meet him in his lobby. We went back and had a lesson with him, and it was so wonderful. His name is Hong Bin and he is from China! We taught him a very simple lesson about the Godhead and the purpose of this life being, to return to live with our Heavenly Father again. He was really receptive and it was so good! It was just so great, and I feel like Heavenly Father truly guided us there that night. We have a return appointment with him on Saturday!
*A lot of lessons with Keren!! The highlight was this Jewish Mormon who lives in Falls Church. He came down to Crystal City to have a lesson with us and Keren, and it was fantastic!!
*Transfers are coming this week and I think I am getting moved, since I have been here for almost a third of my mission! I am excited for this change and I feel like I need it right now.
BTW, you should read Ether 5 (or Ether 6)! I read it this morning and I think it is so symbolic about this life and our experience on earth! It is the part where the Jaredites are traveling in the barges to the promised land!
Remember how much God loves you!!! His work and glory is your immortality and your eternal life!! He wants you to live with Him forever in a state of never-ending happiness!! I know this is true!!
